<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device capable of detecting a detection object from an input image with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In an object detection device 1, a detection window setting section 11 inputs a photographic image 21 photographed by a camera. The detection window setting section 11 sets a detection window area for the photographic image 21 and segments an image in the detection window area as a normal window image 22 from the photographic image 21. An image processing section 12 performs image processing such as enlargement and reduction, etc. of the photographic image 21. Each changed window image 23 is segmented from each of the enlarged photographic image 21 and the reduced photographic image 21. A degree calculation section 13 calculates a matching rate showing a possibility of the existence of the detection object in the window image for each window image on the basis of feature data 51 showing a feature of the detection object.
