<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-replaceable cutting tool which is further improved in the strength of joining between a tool body and a connecting member, does not cause the shortening of the life of a press-fitted member, and is enabled in mass production. <P>SOLUTION: The head-replaceable cutting tool is configured in such a way that a cylindrical mounting part 21 of a connecting member 2 formed of a metal material with hardness lower than that of a tool body 1A formed of a hard material is inserted into a mounting hole 16 formed at the tool body 1A and having recessed sections 16a on an inner circumferential surface, consequently the mounting part 21 is plastically deformed so as to be diametrically enlarged so that an outer circumferential surface of the mounting part 21 is brought into close contact with the inner circumferential surface of the mounting hole 16 and engaged with the recessed sections 16a, and thus, the tool body 1A and the connecting member 2 are joined to each other. A diameterically enlarging member 4 with hardness higher than that of the connecting member 2 is press-fitted and fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the mounting part 21, the mounting part 21 is plastically deformed by the diameterically enlarging member 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
