<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concurrently acquire images from imaging apparatuses conforming to interface standards of different types. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 1 according to this embodiment, an image acquiring unit 11 identifies the interface standards of imaging apparatuses 2 connected to connectors 10A and 10B via cables and acquires images from the imaging apparatuses 2 by methods conforming to the identified interface standards.
