<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power-supply device that allows reduction in the number of electronic components to be added and reduction in manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A switching power-supply device 1 includes a pair of power lines 10 and 11, a DC load 2, a capacitor C, a snubber transformer Ts, a pulse-current generating circuit 5, and a series body 12. The series body 12 is formed by connecting in series a secondary coil 42 of the snubber transformer Ts and a snubber diode Ds. The series body 12 is connected in parallel to the capacitor C. An anode terminal of the snubber diode Ds is connected to the secondary coil 42. A cathode terminal of the snubber diode Ds is connected to an electrode terminal at a higher-potential side of the capacitor C. A pulse current Ip generated by the pulse-current generating circuit 5 flows through a primary coil 41. The primary coil 41 is a smoothing reactor that smooths the pulse current Ip.
