A child-resistant closure (10) is provided and comprises a body with a sidewall (25) and including locking means (81, 86). The sidewall has one or more pressing pads (80, 85) for releasing the locking means. The or each pad is supported on the sidewall by force insulating links (93) which restrict lateral spreading of forces into the sidewall during inward deflection of the pad.
