The present invention provides a storage water heater comprising: a chamber; a burner mounted within the chamber; a storage tank which is mounted above the chamber, a fluid inlet and fluid outlet which are mounted on the tank for external connection and use of a section of the tank surface area which is utilised as a primary combustion products heat exchanger and a tube mounted within the tank which is utilised as a secondary combustion products heat exchanger. a second storage tank which is positioned above the first storage tank which utilises its entire external surface area as a third heat exchanger; a pilot flue heat exchanging tube which is mounted in the bottom tank which captures all combustion products from the pilot flame and transfers the heat energy into the water inside the bottom and top tanks; a heat trap flue duct which transfers cooled combustion products from the top third heat exchanger to a flue terminal; Fig 1. 1 VAS7////AS ///M23 29 i 32 2 |/ 25
