<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for supporting design of color distribution on an object surface in such manner that a relation between characteristics of particle groups contained in a paint and a design effect or texture on the object surface generated by the particle groups is taken into account. <P>SOLUTION: According to a color distribution design supporting system 1 of the present invention, a distribution mode of particle groups contained in a paint layer on an object surface and shape characteristics and optical characteristics of particles that are constituent elements of the particle groups are specified through a second input device 212. Accordingly, on the basis of a specified factor and color distribution corresponding to deflection of the object surface stored in a first memory device 111, the color distribution corresponding to the deflection of the object surface which reflects texture or a design effect due to existence of the particle groups is calculated by calculation elements 12.
