<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel capable of reducing degradation in quality of a picked-up image, even when a plastic lens is used. <P>SOLUTION: A lens barrel has a third lens group 230 fixed to a third lens group holding frame 234. The third lens group 230 includes a seventh lens 231 being a plastic lens and the seventh lens 231 comprises an optical effective region 402 and a peripheral part 404 provided on a periphery of the optical effective region 402. The peripheral part 404 has a recessed part 406 for fixing the third lens group holding frame 234 and the seventh lens 231 at three positions. The third lens group holding frame 234 has a pin 301 corresponding to the recessed part 406 at three positions.
