ELECTRODEPOSITION PAINT COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR FORMING ELECTRODEPOSITION FILM ON COATED OBJECT WITHOUT CHEMICAL CONVERSION COATING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeposition paint composition, capable of suitably providing an electrodeposition film even on a coated object without chemical conversion coating, and providing a film having excellent corrosion resistance and film smoothness.

SOLUTION: The electrodeposition paint composition includes a zirconium compound (A), an aminated resin (B), a hardener (C) and a free acid (D). The free acid (D) is nitric acid. The milliequivalent (MEQ(A)) of acid to resin solid content 100 g in the electrodeposition paint composition is 20-200, and pH of the electrodeposition paint composition is 2-5.5.
