<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for polymerizing an olefin that includes a fouling prevention technique that can produce particles of olefin polymer having good particle properties, have sufficient prevention of fouling by the addition of small amounts of fouling preventive components, and also exert little influence on polymerization activity. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing an olefin polymer in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst and a solvent by a heterogeneous polymerization method includes permitting a contact product of at least (a) a phosphoric ester compound and (b) a nitrogen-containing organic compound or a contact product of at least (a) a phosphoric ester compound, (b) a nitrogen-containing organic compound and (c) a metal salt of an organic sulfonic acid to coexist with an organoaluminum compound, characterized in that the phosphoric ester compound has a concentration in a polymerization reactor in a range of 0.0001 to 1.8 mg/L; and that the organoaluminum compound has a ratio of the weight of the phosphoric ester compound to the number of moles of the organoaluminum compound in the range of 0.001 to 10 g/mol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
