DIGITAL SHEET-FED PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital sheet-fed printing method that is capable of non-mechanically adjusting and eliminating a mutual deviation between images printed by a plurality of printing units in a digital sheet-fed printing machine using a plurality of transport cylinders.

SOLUTION: A digital sheet-fed printing method comprises: providing one cycle of printing to print on a series of sheets of paper whose number is equal to the least common multiple of respective numbers of allocations on each of the transport cylinders; outputting a reference signal for each print of a sheet of paper in the respective sheets of paper; printing an image on the sheet of paper on the basis of the reference signal and matched with passage timing of the sheet of paper in the respective print units; detecting with an image detection sensor a mutual out of register between images for each color of the respective sheets of paper in the first print cycle of print cycles; inputting a detection value for each sheet of paper into a control part performing print control of the respective print units; correcting the print timing of each image for each sheet of paper in one cycle of printing on the basis of the respective detection values so that print timing of each image for each sheet of paper in one print cycle can be coincident with print timing of mutual images of a plurality of the images at the control part; and printing images on each sheet of paper for each subsequent print cycle at print timing after the correction.
