<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display with improved visibility and transmittance. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display comprises: a first field-generating electrode including a plurality of serve electrodes 182a which are separated from each other by a prescribed distance and are arranged parallel to each other within a pixel region and a connecting electrode 182b electrically connecting the serve electrodes, and a first substrate including a first alignment film that is rubbed in a first direction of covering the first field-generating electrode or a second substrate including a second field-generating electrode including a plurality of opening parts formed parallel to each other in a region corresponding to the pixel region of the fist substrate and a second alignment film that is rubbed in a second direction of covering the second field-generating electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
