<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter display device which enhances visibility of information acquired from the position of an indicator. <P>SOLUTION: A digital speed meter 1 acquires speed data from a vehicle speed sensor 53 by switching to a night illumination mode with a backlight 11d illuminated when an illumination switch 19a is turned on. A peripheral part 31a of an indicator 36 is configured based on the acquired speed data. A graphic controller 13 adjusts display characteristics such as LCD transmissivity and chromaticity of a dial face 31 displayed on a TFT liquid crystal 11a such that the peripheral part 31a on the dial face 31 has a higher brightness in contrast to other areas on the dial face 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
