<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce increase in a temperature of an imaging element while reducing deterioration of subject movement in an image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises: an imaging element 3 comprising plural pixels arranged two-dimensionally; temperature detection means 16 which obtains a detected temperature T according to the temperature of the imaging element 3; and a controller 5 which, in a consecutive photographing mode, controls the imaging element 3 such that a pixel signal is read from the pixels with a thinning ratio which varies gradually in accordance with the detected temperature T obtained by the temperature detection means 16 and which relatively increases when the detected temperature T is relatively high. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
