The surgical system (1) is equipped with: a US signal output unit (50); an HV signal output unit (60); a monopolar probe (8) with a therapeutic unit (9) to which the HV signal is applied and which vibrates as a result of ultrasonic waves; a counter electrode plate (3) that forms an HV signal return circuit; a main HV signal control unit (61c) that performs feedback control of the HV signal output unit (60) on the basis of the HV signal; a main US signal control unit (51c) that performs feedback control of the US signal output unit on the basis of the US signal; and an auxiliary HV signal control unit (51b) that controls the HV signal output unit (60) on the basis of the US signal and has a shorter response time than the main HV signal control unit (61c).
