The method involves examining the identification of the type of signal generator for several different types, by using a signal analyzer (1). The signal generator of different types is identified based on the radio system ad signal standards, and result information (18) indicating the identified signal generator is output. The identification of different types of signal generators is performed using stored, pre-defined characteristics of known radio system and signal standards. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) signal analyzer; (2) analyzer hardware module for analyzing mixed signal; and (3) computer program for analyzing mixed signal.
