The device has antenna (3) that emits primary signals (51) in the form of electromagnetic waves, onto a flag pole (6) located in a hole of a golf course. The secondary signals (52) are produced from flag pole after the incidence of the primary signals to the flag pole. The time of emission of the primary signal to the arrival of the secondary signal in the antenna is computed by electronic module (2) so as to calculate the distance of the flag pole. The calculated distance is displayed in the display indicator (1).
