<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for replenishing fuel in a fuel cell powered portable device. <P>SOLUTION: Portable electronic devices such as portable telephones and portable computers can obtain power from a fuel cell that consumes fuel from a fuel reservoir of each portable device. A network of fueling stations allows users of portable devices to maintain each device operational by frequently topping up the fuel reservoir.
