<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit which stores the time-series driving information of a vehicle to analyze the source of a vehicle abnormality and reduces a storage amount. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic control unit reduces and simplifies the accuracy of the data value of each driving information for analyzing the source of the vehicle abnormality (S404) after a certain time interval is elapsed (S402: Yes). For example, the accuracy of the driving information is reduced and simplified by preliminarily dividing the data value of the driving information and by indicating to which any of a plurality of regions the driving information is pertained by a bit number corresponding to the number of the region. The driving information is simplified by 1 bit if the driving information includes two regions and 2 bits if it includes four, and the simplified time-series driving information is in a RAM (S406). When the vehicle abnormality occurs, the electronic control unit stores, in and EEPROM, the driving information which is not simplified and the simplified driving information which is stored in the RAM before and after the occurrence of the vehicle abnormality and which is generated at a time other than a time when the vehicle abnormality occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
