<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle continuously variable transmission that performs two-way torque transmission following the torque input from an input shaft or an output shaft, and enters neutral state without using a clutch mechanism when torque transmission is not required. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle continuously variable transmission includes: a gear-change means (roller axis inclination gear-changing mechanism) 70 that continuously changes gear by reciprocating a torque transmission member 60 (power roller member) along a center line So of a parallel gap S, and changing the contact diameter in both conical rollers 40, 50; a contact force generating means (loading cam mechanism) 80 that is in proportion to the input torque from the input shaft 20 or the output shaft 30, and generates contact force of the torque transmission member 60 to an input side conical roller 40 and an output side conical roller 50 by the axial force in the direction of reducing the parallel gap S; and a contact force release means (biasing mechanism) 90 that releases the contact force of the torque transmission member 60 to the input side conical roller 40 and the output side conical roller 50 by the axial force in the direction of widening the parallel gap S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
