<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a radio communication method of a new digital cordless telephone set that can avoid harmful radio wave interference with a control channel important for the operation of a PHS and can increase frequency utilization efficiency as a speech channel. <P>SOLUTION: The invention receives a frequency band allocated to a digital cordless telephone set and a frequency band allocated to a PHS, measures reception electric field strength of a received signal to output it, monitors output of the reception electric field strength of a signal received continuously for a certain time period, determines whether or not there is interference by a signal transmitted by a PHS fixed station measuring the time width and frequency of appearance of the reception electric field strength equal to or more than a prescribed threshold, and if it has been determined there is interference, sets a frequency band and slot timing to be used so that the interference will be avoided, and transmits communication data at the set frequency band and slot timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
