A shaft member sliding mechanism having: a shaft member (1) capable of moving in the longitudinal direction; a seal member holder (3) having a hole (3a) into which the shaft member (1) can be inserted; a seal member (O-ring) (7) which is affixed to the inner circumferential part of the hole (3a) of the seal member holder (3), and which makes contact with the outer circumference of the shaft member (1) inserted into the hole (3a), blocking the flow of liquid; and a seal member heating mechanism (heater (11)) provided in the seal member holder (3) in order to heat the seal member (7).
