The centrifugal compressor (10) has a compressor wheel (12) rotating around a rotational axis (18) and an impeller blade (21) that inflows air to be compacted during operation of the centrifugal compressor in an axial direction by the compressor wheel and deflects air in a radial direction. A trailing edge (25) of the impeller blade is partially arranged in a plane, which with the axial direction has an angle different from zero degree angle. The trailing edge extends to an inlet (33) of an axial diffuser (24). A cover contour is formed by extension of a hub body (19) of the compressor wheel.
