The lubricant supply unit has a metering device (1) with an open-ended hollow cylinder (2), where a hollow piston (3) is accommodated in open side of the cylinder. A return spring (5) acting on the piston is arranged at the bottom (4) of the cylinder. A non-return valve (7) is formed between the piston bottom (6) in a low-pressure region (8) and the cylinder bottom in a high-pressure region (9). An annular channel is formed between the cylinder and the piston, where an oil supply line leads to the open side of the piston.
