GENE TRANSFER TO AIRWAY EPITHELIAL STEM CELL USING LENTIVIRUS VECTOR PSEUDOTYPED BY SPIKE PROTEIN OF RNA VIRUS OR DNA VIRUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lentivirus vector for transferring a gene to an airway epithelial stem cell, which has been pseudotyped by a spike protein of an RNA virus or a DNA virus.

SOLUTION: A gene is transferred to an airway epithelial tissue stem cell using a simian immunodeficiency virus pseudotyped by F and HN which are envelope glycoprotein of Sendai virus. The gene transfer to the airway epithelial tissue stem cell using a vector is useful for gene therapy of hereditary respiratory diseases such as cystic fibrosis. Also it becomes possible to select respiratory organs such as lung as a production organization to supply protein deficient in the hereditary diseases.
