<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve game entertainment by making a player pay attention to the number of times of re-variation display and also to whether the re-variation display is continuously executed. <P>SOLUTION: In the variable display of a decoration symbol, the decoration symbol which displays a stop is changed so that a variable display state of the decoration symbol may become a pseudo continuous chance item by stop-displaying the decoration symbol in a decoration symbol display area 5R at "right" after varying it once again after temporarily stop-displaying the decoration symbol in decoration symbol display areas 5L, 5R at "left" and "right" in a form that the variable display state of the decoration symbol does not become the pseudo continuous chance item.
