970,512. Suction cleaner nozzles. L. KRISTENSEN. Feb. 28, 1963 [Feb. 28, 1962], No. 8075/63. Heading A4F. A suction cleaner nozzle contains an inlet member 2 which may be pressed into the mouthpiece 1 against the action of springs 7 to increase the effective cross sectional area of the mouthpiece, the member 2 being held in its inner position by the engagement of springs 10 with a flange 5 on the member 2. To release the member 2 the nozzle connector 16 is rotated so that cam surfaces 17, 18 thereon actuate rods 14, 15 to disengage the springs 10 from the flange 5. When the member 2 is in the innermost position a brush 12 is permitted to engage the surface to be cleaned to loosen dirt thereon. |
