<p>Disclosed are a ring network protection method and device. The method includes the following steps: an on-ring node detects whether the state of a link between itself and an adjacent node has changed through a fault detection message of the link layer; if it is detected that the link state has changed, determining that the on-ring node is a faulty upstream adjacent node; the on-ring node switches the service traffic from a working tunnel to a protection tunnel, wherein the protection tunnel performs down-ring processing on the service traffic at a service out-ring node. The present invention solves the problem in the prior art that the TE FRR protection mechanism cannot solve multi-point fault on the ring and improves the security and stability of the system.</p> |
