PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable not only easy acquisition of an electronic file but also reduction in time and effort for searching for a page desired by a user.

SOLUTION: A display device notifies a server device of identification information for specifying an electronic file to be displayed. The server device specifies the electronic file and page information on the basis of the notified identification information and transmits the electronic file and the page information to the display device. The display device displays a specific page of the received electronic file as an initial screen on the basis of the received electronic file and page information.
