<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming device for a vehicle that enables even a driver to easily move a sun visor on a passenger's seat side to a position suitable for him/her. <P>SOLUTION: The dimming device 100 for the vehicle includes: the sun visor 10 that is provided on the passenger's seat side, reduces incident light which penetrates a windshield of the vehicle to be incident on driver's eyes, and is movable to a plurality of positions; a control part 30 and a drive part 40 for moving the sun visor 10; and an operation part 20 that is provided around a driver's seat of the vehicle, is operated by a passenger, and provides a direction of moving the sun visor 10 on the basis of the operation.
