<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that facilitates management by predicting a sign of drain failure. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner is capable of air-conditioning operation, and is provided with a drain pan that collects condensed water caused in a heat exchanger as drain water. The air conditioner includes: a drain pump for draining the drain water collected in the drain pan; and a controller for controlling the drain pump, comparing a current value to be supplied to the drain pump with a reference value of a plurality of first current values previously set according to the kind of draining states of the drain water. The controller calculates the reference value of the plurality of first current values from current values supplied to the drain pump during initial normal air-conditioning operation, and determining the presence/absence of a sign of drain failure in the drain pump for every kind of the draining states based on the results of the comparison. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
