The present invention relates to a vertical wire damping structure for a small camera module, which can absorb an impact applied onto a wire spring coupled to a camera lens when the camera module shakes. The vertical wire damping structure for the small camera module has a damping member disposed over or under a spacer, and thus absorbs the impact applied onto the wire spring coupling a lens holder and the spacer when the camera severely shakes or when the lens holder moves to compensate for such a shake or automatically adjust a focus.
