The present invention relates to a composition for repelling wild birds, including creosote oil and wood tar, and a method for repelling the wild birds. The present invention is a solid product which is made to repel birds by stimulating only the sense of smell of the birds, unlike previously developed bird repellents, and desirably, the invention has maximized a burning smell, which contains components evaded by birds, by mixing creosote oil and wood tar that are extracted from a beech tree. Further, the invention is made to continuously emit the burning smell that contains the components evaded by birds by mixing ethanol having a high steam pressure with the creosote oil and the wood tar, which are the bird-repelling liquid components with a low steam pressure, whereby an effect of repelling the birds is improved remarkably. Meerschaum, having a structure in which bird-repelling components are volatilized well, has been used as a silicate mineral for an absorption binder included in the composition of the present invention. Further, a phthalic anhydride having a temporary bird-repelling effect was used as a volatile physical property enhancer, so that the phthalic anhydride has been made into a solid composition. The composition of the present invention can be applied to repel all wild birds, such as magpies, pheasants, turtledoves, starlings, brown-eared bulbuls and the like, which damage orchards. |
