<p>This air conditioner comprises, within an indoor unit (1), a heat exchanger (3), a base frame (2) which holds the heat exchanger (3) and which forms an air blowing path, a fan (5) which is provided in a space formed by the heat exchanger (3) and the base frame (2), and a fan motor (4) which rotationally drives the fan (5), and a corner section at the lower part of the base frame (2) is formed from a detachable corner member (6). The air conditioner is configured so that the joint between the corner member (6) and the base frame (2) is provided at a position above the upper end of the fan motor (4) and so that an engagement section (10) engaging with the base frame (2) is provided on the inner surface of the side wall of the corner member (6). As a result of the configuration, even if the heat exchanger has a large overall length, the fan motor can be removed and the corner member is less likely to be dislocated from the base frame.</p> |
