PURPOSE: An one-dimensional size measurement device and a working machine accommodating the same are provided to improve the workability and productivity by monitoring the machined part of a workpiece in real time without additional vernier calipers. CONSTITUTION: An one-dimensional size measurement device(200) comprises a light source unit(210), a photographing unit(220), and a measurement control unit(240). The light source unit emits the light on the working target position of a workpiece. The photographing unit comprises an one-dimensional image sensor(223) and an imaging optical system(221). The image elements in the one-dimensional image sensor are arranged in a direction corresponding to one-dimensional size. The imaging optical system is installed between the light source unit and the one-dimensional image sensor and forms an image on the one-dimensional image sensor. The measurement control unit converts the number of pixels between selected two pixels into one-directional size.
