PURPOSE: A foreign currency transaction processing system including an exchange rate reservation registration function and an operating method thereof are provided to satisfy the convenience and needs of a customer by performing a foreign currency transaction according to an exchange rate registered or selected by the customer. CONSTITUTION: An exchange rate contract unit(1330) compares an exchange rate selected by a customer with floating exchange rate information. If the floating exchange rate information is same as the selected exchange rate, the exchange rate contract unit contracts the selected exchange rate. A foreign currency exchange processing unit(1340) performs exchange processing according to the contracted exchange rate. The foreign currency exchange processing unit transfers the exchanged foreign currency to a deposit account.
