<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system achieving combustion stability during rapid transients, in a method for performing a transient operation of a gas turbine, wherein an electric power generation output must be changed very quickly in order to keep the generated power and the consumed power balanced in an electric power system. <P>SOLUTION: In order to operate a gas turbine, a controller 10 determines command values for an inlet air mass flow dm/dt<SB POS="POST">air</SB>,<SB POS="POST">k</SB><SP POS="POST">CMD</SP>, fuel mass flow dm/dt<SB POS="POST">fuel</SB>,<SB POS="POST">i</SB><SP POS="POST">CMD</SP>, and if applicable for a water or steam mass flow dm/dt<SB POS="POST">w/s</SB>,<SB POS="POST">j</SB><SP POS="POST">CMD</SP>. In order to allow fast transient operation with a stable lean premix flame, at least one command value is dynamically compensated in order to compensate for the difference in dynamics of the supply systems and in order to synchronize the resulting changes in fuel, water, steam, and/or combustion air mass flows, which reach the combustor 3, so that the fuel to air ratio stays within the combustible limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
