<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase evaluation device and a phase evaluation method, capable of suppressing influence of input light power fluctuation. <P>SOLUTION: The phase evaluation device comprises: an acquisition part which acquires each of positive and negative outputs of an I component and a Q component of 90° hybrid; a calculation part which calculates to correct each of the positive and the negative outputs for the respective I component and Q component, so that a sum of each of the positive and negative outputs becomes a constant; and an evaluation part which evaluates a phase difference between the I component and the Q component of 90° hybrid using each of the positive and the negative outputs after the correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
