<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer able to speedily and accurately control light to desired brightness, and a microscope having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The dimmer comprises: control means 14 for controlling a quantity of light of an LED lighting device 5 that illuminates an observation sample; objective lens switching means 2 for alternatively inserting a plurality of objective lenses into an optical path; and storage means 15 for storing illumination control information about the objective lenses. Based on the information about the objective lenses inserted into the optical path, the control means adjusts the quantity of light of the LED lighting device by obtaining the illumination control information corresponding to the objective lens from the storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
