<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving the noise resistance performance of communication between microcomputers using a single data transmission/reception cable. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner for exhausting and supplying air in the room is provided with a microcomputer a17 as a control means in a control circuit unit 9 and a microcomputer b18 as a determination means for determining an operation to the operation unit 10 operated at a location away from the control circuit by cable, and configured to transmit and receive data by the microcomputer a17 and a microcomputer b18, and also configured to transmit and receive the data using a single cable for transmission and reception between microcomputers a and b because a state of transmission and reception by the microcomputer a17 and a microcomputer b18 is always an object state. The air conditioner is structured to switch a transmission and reception state after a certain fixed time elapses when switching the transmission and reception state of the microcomputers a and b.
