The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for simultaneously obtaining a plurality of standard leads of the electrocardiogram (ECG) of a person standing on a surface or sitting down with their feet resting on a surface, the hands of said person, in either of the two cases, making contact with each electrode. The surface on which the patient is standing or on which his/her feet rest includes two conductive areas that act as electrodes, one for each foot. All of the electrodes are connected to the main body of the apparatus, which, for increased convenience, can form a unit with the surface with which the feet of the person being subjected to the ECG are in contact, or alternatively said surface and the hand electrodes form a unit that can be connected to a standard electrocardiograph. |
