<p>A sensing unit (20) of this magnetic sensor has first through eighth detection units (21a-21h) each of which is an isosceles triangle having a vertex angle of 45°. The first through eighth detection units are provided on one surface of a substrate (10) and arranged such that the vertices of the vertex angles are put together so the sensing unit has a regular octagonal planar layout, and one of diagonal lines which connect opposite vertices of the regular octagon is positioned perpendicular to one side of the substrate. Multiple pads (31-36) provided on the one surface of the substrate are electrically connected to the sensing unit, and electrically connected to an external device via wires which extend to the outside from the one side (10a) of the one surface of the substrate. Furthermore, the multiple pads are arranged such that the multiple pads respectively overlap at least partially with the diagonal line perpendicular to the one side in a direction parallel to the one side, and the multiple pads are completely off-set from each other in a direction perpendicular to the one side, thereby preventing the wires from coming into contact with each other.</p> |
