<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly warm up a catalyst by accurately predicting timing for starting an engine. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU implements a program which includes: step (S100) of acquiring gradient information; step (S104) of calculating a start-scheduled time when there is an ascending slope at a traveling-scheduled route which necessitates the start of the engine (YES at S102); step (S108) of deciding a current carrying pattern when a catalyst temperature at the start-scheduled time is lowered to a threshold Tc (0) or lower (YES at S106); step (S110) of deciding a heating start time; and step (S114) of starting the control of the EHC at the heating start time (YES at S112). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
