Headings F4U and F4V Hot or ventilating air is supplied to buildings in the form of powerful air jets by means of nozzles 4, the nozzles being directed obliquely upwards towards horizontal, preferably rectangular, plates 5 suspended below the ceiling 2. The air is supplied to the nozzles by means of a duct 1 situated near the ceiling and along one side wall 3 of the building and the nozzles are directed up by at least 5 degrees and preferably 15 degrees above the horizontal. The length of the plates is two or three times the distance travelled by the air jet in a second, a prefered velocity being 10 metres per second, and the breadth of the plates is at least a quarter of their length. |
