<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which scatters transfer residual toner on an intermediate transfer body more evenly in a transfer simultaneous cleaning method, and is capable of charging the toner more evenly. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a primary transfer member 5; and a secondary transfer member 8, and reversely transfers toner left on an intermediate transfer body 6 to an image carrier 1 at a primary transfer part N1 simultaneously with a primary transfer after a secondary transfer. The image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a first and a second charging member 11, 12 for charging toner left in the upstream of the primary transfer part N1 in the movement direction of the intermediate transfer body 6; and a first and a second power source 13, 14 for respectively applying voltages for charge. The first charging member 11 positioned in the upstream side in the movement direction among the first and the second charging member 11, 12 rubs the surface of the intermediate transfer body 6 along with the movement of the intermediate transfer body 6, and the second charging member 12 contacts with the intermediate transfer body 6 and moves in the same direction with the intermediate transfer body 6 in the contact area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
