The present invention relates to an access node (100) for connecting subscriber devices (200) through a loop plant (300). In accordance with a first aspect of the invention, the access node comprises a vectoring control unit (130) for estimating crosstalk coefficients (H' i , j,k) between a set of subscriber lines (L1 to LN) based on crosstalk measurements (Ei.k1.D1) carried out over the set of subscriber lines during a crosstalk measurement phase (XT_MEAS_DS), and a vectoring processing unit (120) for jointly processing, for crosstalk mitigation, signals to be transmitted over, or received from, the set of subscriber lines based on the estimated crosstalk coefficients. The access node further comprises a controller (140) configured to either postpone the execution of power adaptation over a particular line (L1) out of the set of subscriber lines after the completion of the crosstalk measurement phase, or to postpone the crosstalk measurement phase after the completion of power adaptation over the particular line. The present invention also relates to a method for connecting subscriber devices (200) through a loop plant (300), and to a subscriber device (2001) for connecting to an access node (100) through a subscriber line (L1). |
