SYSTEM FOR SEARCHING SIMILAR WEATHER CHART AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A similar weather map search system and a method thereof are provided to easily predict a change of a current weather map by using past weather map data having high similarity. CONSTITUTION: A processing unit(120) converts weather map data of a post-script type into vector data, generates a weather element image pattern, and template information including the weather element image pattern and weather information. A database(140) stores the template information. A similarity comparing unit(130) calculates similarity between search template information obtained through the processing unit in regard to the weather map data and existing template information of the database according to similarity determination algorithm in order to extract the existing template information satisfying a condition as a similar weather map.
