<p>A protective shroud 2 for a portable lock such as bicycle D-locks to protect the lock and provide additional strength and resistance to attack from cutting tools or leverage. Preferably the shroud has a tubular channel section 2 into which the shackle 1 of an existing lock may fit to provide a reinforced outer sleeve, the shroud may also include a hinged cover 4 protecting the lock bar 3 with a protective end flange to guard the keyhole of the lock against drilling (8, fig.3). The protective guard/shroud may be separate device or may be attachable or integral with a bike stand 5 such as those found in public.</p> |
