On spraying the reduction of the volume of liquid in the container A causes a partial vacuum which results in the ball 23 leaving its seating so as to admit an equal volume of air into the container. The lower end of the pump chamber 2 is controlled by a ball valve 4. In the embodiment of Fig. 2 (not shown) a packing (26) is provided between the button 7 and the head 1 so that depression of the button causes air to be forced more efficiently into the container. |
