Method and device for producing bags

The method involves longitudinally folding a flat web (2) for forming a web (10), which is closed on a lower side by a fold (8). Chambers provided behind each other are divided in a longitudinal direction of the web. The chambers are closed at an opposite side of the fold by a welding seam. The chambers are drawn as tea bags (40), which are isolated by separation of the web. A separation seam is formed between the adjacent chambers. The individual bags are separated from the web by the separation seam. The chambers are filled with goods after forming the separation seam. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing bags.
